Investing

American Compliance Holdings

Investing and acquiring technology and services businesses in the compliance industry.

Investment Criteria (2020-Present):

1. Clear Recurring Value Proposition: Service or technology provides recurring benefits and is protected from "stroke of the pen" risk
2. Tenfold Cost-Benefit Ratio: Cost avoided from non-compliance is 10x greater than the cost of solution
3. Technology or Services Value Creation: Synergy from adding technology to existing services (or vice versa)
4. At least 3-Year History of Positive, Stable Cash Flow
5. Fragmented, Growing Market

Cryptocurrency Thesis

Strategy: Dollar cost averaging into Bitcoin and Ethereum

Investment Criteria (2017 - Present):

1. Decentralized Identity will be the Most Trusted Identity: It's harder than ever to validate identity online with the rise of artificial intelligence and adversarial powerful centralized actors. The world needs decentralized validators more than ever, especially as digital identity rises in importance. I believe there's a reason why Sam Altman runs 2 companies: 1) OpenAI, and 2) WorldCoin (providing digital identity validation)
2. Scarcity and Incentives Drive Human Behavior: Crypto provides powerful tools to maintain scarcity and drive human behavior.
3. "Digital Gold": The world only left the gold standard in 1971, so the lack of a "standard" has only been a 50 year experiment. A standardized perception of value is fundamental to the free market, and I believe bitcoin best serves this function (price target if Bitcoin = Gold -> $690K/Bitcoin)

Public Market Thesis

Strategy: Dollar cost averaging in low-cost indexes tracking American equities

Investment Criteria (2014 - Present):

"In its brief 232 years of existence... there has been no incubator for unleashing human potential like America. Despite some severe interruptions, our country’s economic progress has been breathtaking. Our unwavering conclusion: Never bet against America."
- Warren Buffett (2020)
